Who is Emily?

Emily Leake is a photographer and mom, living in St. Paul, MN. The first time she picked up a camera, it didn’t all make sense—but it felt right. Like a painter, Emily likes to carefully create compositions that form harmonious works of art that express emotion and belief—her photographs become conversations between, photographer, subject, form, and light.

While some are drawn to the idyllic, Emily’s work seeks to juxtapose solemnity with hope—struggle with break-through. Emily uses photography to provide both windows into the normalcy of everyday moments and tell excerpts of deeply personal stories.
